A Mihrab (محراب) is a niche in the wall of a mosque that indicates the direction of the Black Rock (Kaaba) located in Mecca so that Muslims around the world can face Mecca when praying.
The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is the third holiest place for 1.5 billion Muslims. Under the Dome of the Rock, which is known as the Foundation Rock, there is a small cave (which you can see in the photo below) a Mihrab that is believed to be one of the oldest in the world.
